Nogeno Onikai

Yokohama, Kanagawa

Reservations can also be made through their official website!

The age has come for us to enjoy authentic sushi in a relaxed and enjoyable way, away from the traditional dining where one has to observe a number of formalities. The Sushi Onikai has adopted the concept of "sushi creations" in order to further change the casual experience of enjoying sushi. The menu is highly creative while maintaining the tradition of Edomae sushi. The restaurant offers hand-rolled tempura (tempura shrimp wrapped in seaweed) supervised by the Tempura Miyashiro, a restaurant with one Michelin star.

Noko Tonkotsu Teppei Ramen

Ibaraki/Takatsuki, Osaka

Fresh and creamy. This popular ramen restaurant in Ibaraki, Osaka, will make you addicted to its rich and flavorful tonkotsu soup.

Located along Route 171 in Ibaraki-shi, Osaka, Teppei Ramen is known for its tonkotsu ramen, made exclusively from 100% domestically sourced pork bones. Spending a whole day preparing the soup, which takes a lot of time and effort, the restaurant is proud of its rich and thick flavor. The original noodles, blended with wheat from Hokkaido, have the perfect chewiness and go down smoothly, complementing the creamy soup beautifully. Of course, the classic "Noko Tonkotsu Teppai Ramen" is a must-try, but be sure to take on the challenge of "Specialty Cabbage Oni Mori," heaped with shredded cabbage. In the warm ambiance of the wooden interior, you'll find both counter and table seating, with couples and families enjoying their meals. Oryori Shunso

Setagaya, Tokyo

You've never tasted more tender octopus or better snow crab!

The skill of a professional is demonstrated by our chefs' ability to prepare hard-to-chew ingredients in a way that makes them tender. The octopus is slowly cooked until it shrinks to half its original size, becoming so tender it falls apart in the mouth. We also use live squid and "Kobako," female snow crabs. After cooking the Kobako, it is arranged on rice or with vegetables and dressing. It is a superb dish that is only available for a fixed period of time in winter. Thanks to my training at a famous Japanese inn, I learned basic manners and the correct sense of distance to be maintained when dealing with customers. Moreover, having an open kitchen allows us to see customers faces and encourages communication between our chefs and the customers. Although we have just 18 seats, including those at the counter, we are able to arrange meals that match customers' budgets and much more. Please ask us for details.

Oshokuji Dokoro Chanya

Okinawa/Nago, Okinawa

Experience and enjoy the beauty and cuisine of Okinawa in what was once a private home

Our founding principle is simple preparation, as in shabu-shabu, that allows one to enjoy the natural flavors of Yanbaru's Agu pork. You'll definitely want to try our most popular item, Shabu-shabu with island vegetables like "goya" (bitter melon). Yanbaru Agu pork is reared near the lush, natural summits of the mountains around Okawa in Nago. Yanbaru Agu pigs produce the most luxurious pork in the prefecture. Enjoy the superbly rich, delicious flavor, and the melt-in-your-mouth texture. Our restaurant is a short, Garcinia tree-lined stroll from the ocean. You'll want to take in the classical Okinawan-style dwellings along the way. Good for a dining experience, of course, but exceptional for an overnight stay in a leisurely, utterly Okinawan atmosphere. The establishment itself is the renovated private home of the chef's great-grandmother. In this simple, traditional Okinawa-style dwelling, the fragrant tatami mats make for a relaxing atmosphere that everyone from small children to the elderly will enjoy.
