Naniwa Kappo Kigawa

Shinsaibashi, Osaka

Exceptional cuisine in a luxurious artistic setting

We refuse to be hemmed in by Japanese or French culinary traditions, pursuing whatever will taste best in our cuisine. As such, our sashimi features original accents like basil vinegared miso and herb dressing. We think each bite will delight and surprise you. One of our most luxurious ingredients is our large, Tokushima-harvested black abalone. When you've got your hands on first-rate ingredients, all that's left is to make their delicious flavor stand out all the more. We attempt to do no more than highlight the natural wholesomeness of the abalone itself. The same can be said for the conger eel we prepare in the summer. The basic principle of Osakan cuisine is make dishes that will agree best with whoever is eating them. To enjoy our restaurant to the fullest, we highly recommend you take seats at the counter. There we'll show you the true charms of high-class Osakan dining. Savor freshly-made dishes while you enjoy watching the way the chef plies his trade.

Kobe Kitano Hotel French Restaurant Ash

Kobe/Waterfront area, Hyogo

Whether it's free-range chicken or the finest Kobe sirloin beef, come here to enjoy meat dishes which have been tailored to suit the desires of my customers

Our 'Tamba Free Range Chicken Panache with Exquisite Organic Vegetables' is a luxurious treat born from an encounter with a supplier in Kitatamba, which lets you savor every part of the chicken on one plate. But when you say Kobe, you think beef, and I also offer the choicest lean A4 to A5 grade sirloin cuts. With just the right amount of marbling and low melting point of fat, my beef possesses a refreshing aftertaste and sits lightly on the stomach. I'm the chef as well as the general manager, so I start my morning by looking over the guests' comments, as well as spending my days observing their reactions in the restaurant in order to offer meals and service that are a half-step ahead of their desires. My restaurant is in the auberge-style Kobe Kitano Hotel, and from the moment you check in until the time you check out, you'll be utterly satisfied with the relaxing atmosphere and delicious food. I recommend this place for intimate friends, parents and children, and anniversaries with that special someone.

Unagi Uomasa

Asakusa/Ryogoku, Tokyo

The delicious tastes is worth the long waiting time of 40 minutes. You cannot stop smacking your lips with the taste of [Special Fresh Eel], our specialty!

It is a less than 1 minute walk from Yotsugi Station to this excellent, hidden eel restaurant in downtown. The specialty is trademarked [Tokuchu Katsuman], which customers will have to wait for about 40 minutes. Because we start to cook after being ordered. In spite that inconvenience, they will be happy when they taste it. The most recommended dish is Unaju (grilled eel with rice) of the branded [Bando Taro] eel. It has the crispy skin and melt-in-mouth soft meat as well as an elegant sweetness like wild eels. The sauce has been maintained for 36 years since the beginning of the restaurant, and goes best slightly hard rice. Kimowasa and bone senbei are served while the customer is waiting to have the Unaju served.
