Samgyetang Niru Hanare

A restaurant specializing in samgyetang inheriting the founder's passion and the recipe handed down from parent to children, preserving the traditional taste.

Opened by Park Samsoon, known for being the first woman to obtain a first-class license for the Korean national technical cooking test, Kanmiichi has been a well-loved restaurant in the Korean town of Tsuruhashi for more than 40 years. Following in its footsteps, Samgyetang Niru Hanare was opened under the concept of "introducing Park Samsoon's samgyetang (Korean chicken soup) to the world," which had been the restaurant's specialty. The only meal on the menu is the "Samgyetang Gozen," based on a recipe handed down from generation to generation. The samgyetang, which is slowly simmered for half a day, and banchan, seven kinds of side dishes, are carefully prepared by hand, using carefully selected ingredients. The restaurant, with only 18 seats at the counter, has a calm and stylish space. Reservations are required, and all start at once (70 minutes). It offers delicious Genghis Khan using fresh raw lamb meat of the highest quality in a retro Showa-era atmosphere. Popular menu items are Genghis Khan sets such as the basic "Hitsujimon Set" that you should try first, and "Hitsujimon Set B," including "Lamb Chop," "Lamb Liver," and "Lamb Heart." If you are unfamiliar with Genghis Khan, the friendly staff will advise you on how to grill and eat. It offers carefully selected domestic ingredients such as snow crab, eel, and Japanese beef. The recommended item is the "Snow Crab Sukiyaki Set," which includes eight snow crab legs and a large scallop. The crab flavor and sweetness of vegetables are infused into the sukiyaki broth, making it an excellent dish. Also not to be missed is "Grilled Eel & Wagyu Rice Bowl," created by the owner's continuous efforts in cooking methods, who says he was actually "not so fond of eels. The restaurant is equipped with counter seats and tables with chairs that can be moved freely. It is well-received as "very comfortable" because you can lean back and stretch out your legs. The menu shows instructions on how to eat, and international visitors are welcome! Solo or in a group, it's highly recommended.
