Exceptionally-fresh fish caught in the waters around Sanriku is assorted after having been cut and prepared for the best flavour. Beautifully arranged to make the food look even more delicious, this dish truly shows off my thoughts and handwork. When I returned to Sendai after my training in Tokyo had finished, I rediscovered the abundance and splendour of ingredients from Miyagi prefecture. I want to communicate the deliciousness of Miyagi prefecture's produce not only to locals, but to people who have come to visit Sendai from afar. My goal is to have customers feel they were glad they came when they leave the restaurant. Wanting customers to return home satisfied, I put importance not only on the food, but also the service and atmosphere. Intimate restaurant with a wide variety of delicious dishes cooked with the utmost effort

For our "Shrimp & Fromage Blanc," we keep the shrimp faintly warm after grilling it to the perfect degree. Then we garnish it with chilled citrus zest. Both the appearance of the dish itself and the plate its served on emphasizes the color white, with the food placed on the edge of the plate. We get our stock of organic mini-tomatoes from Yoshimori Ranch in Hokkaido, and we don't do any preparation to enhance their flavor - we serve them raw. Our chef is a professional, so it's a given that he pours all of his effort into every dish. At our restaurant, we offer a comparatively large number of dishes in our course meals. We pay careful attention to the fine details of their composition and the timing of our service so that you'll be entirely satisfied. Ajikobo Iwasa

A western-style pub, popular with the locals, was relocated and reopened. Teppanyaki (grilled on iron griddle) menu and private rooms have become available.

[Ajikobo Iwasa] has been relocated and reopened on the 4th floor of a building near to its previous location. They offer cuisine with various local ingredients from Miyagi prefecture, and a wide variety of alcohol from wine to sake (Japanese alcohol). Teppanyaki (grilled on iron griddle) dishes have been newly added to their regular popular dishes which include [Home-Made Beef Tongue Curry] and [Home-Made Bouillabaisse]. Other than western dishes, they also offer Chinese and Japanese dishes which go well with alcohol. They mainly use carefully selected local ingredients, such as Japanese black beef from Sendai, Noda Duck from Kakuda city, Miyagi, seafood from fishing ports in Miyagi, and fresh vegetables. Their space has the same chic and relaxing atmosphere as before. Private rooms have become available, where you can relax and enjoy meals.
