Presenting thick, savory, condensed cuts of Rikyu beef tongue char-grilled to perfection with a crispy exterior and juicy interior. Relish in the meaty flavor of beef tongue and its toothsome texture. Even though we specialize in beef tongue, we have a tank with fresh seafood. We also serve a wide variety of both cold and warm desserts. We do our utmost to provide good service by always paying attention to our customers. We also create a comfortable atmosphere for customers dining alone despite the energetic atmosphere in our restaurant. Our in-house, slow-cooked oxtail soup is full-bodied yet refreshing. While the soup is served with most entrees, it also pairs well with sake (Japanese rice wine). Sake with our "U-men oxtail soup", a specialty that includes somen noodles, is very popular as a last course.

varm in Kitasendai is a hybrid restaurant with wood-fired cooking, bakery, and roasted coffee. Since its establishment in 2022, the restaurant has been attracting an increasing number of fans by offering three different tastes produced by "heat," meaning the restaurant's name. Chef Akutsu, who trained in Tokyo and France and opened his restaurant to run a restaurant with his family in his hometown, is the master of the wood-fired grill. Based on the modern Basque and French cuisine that he gained experience in, he presents a variety of dishes that bring the flavors of the ingredients to their peak with the power of an open flame. Ingredients are selected from the Tohoku region, and he is exploring the new "Tohoku Terroir." You can enjoy the best of it in two different dinner courses. The authentic bread baked by the chef's wife and the coffee roasted by his parents are also exceptional. It is one restaurant you will want to go to for many years, both everyday and extraordinary!

Shozan, a renovated sake brewery built in the Edo period in Kamisugi, Sendai, inherits the history of Shozankan, a longtime local favorite banquet facility, and offers a new dining experience. It presents seasonal French-based course meals paired with Japanese sake and wine. Katsuyama Shuzo, the Date clan's official brewery with more than 320 years of history, specializes in a fusion of the SAKE scene from overseas and is well known for its collaboration of fine alcohol and gastronomy. To fully experience the best of it, it is recommended to pair dinner and lunch course meals with "5 kinds of Katsuyama" or "3 kinds of Katsuyama, and 2 kinds of wine" and so on. There is also a bar available for casual use, serving drinks from a single glass. Here, you can fully enjoy Sendai's cutting-edge dining scene, both in terms of food and alcohol!

In this dish, thickly-cut sweetbread is scored to preserve the distinctive flavor of the entrails and retained by lightly searing. The chef's expertise is clearly displayed in how he utilizes cutting techniques to influence texture. The yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) dipping sauce is a secret recipe handed down from the chef's grandmother. The intense sweetness of the dressing combines nicely with the meat. The kimchi (fermented vegetables) made by his mother is made from ordinary ingredients but has an exquisite spiciness which is delicious. Because the quality of the meat is paramount, patrons are encouraged to try samples of the assorted platters before ordering and to order only the meats that they like. arkua is located near lush Kotodai Park in Aoba-ku, Sendai. It was opened by Mr. Watanabe, who served as a sous chef at the Michelin one-star restaurant nacree. At arkua, you can enjoy a variety of playful dishes that combine traditional French culinary techniques with unique twists. One of the specialties is a dish where they carefully prepare "Ayu (sweet fish)," a fish that has been popular in Japan since ancient times. The restaurant wants guests to "relax and enjoy" as it serves seasonal appetizers as finger food that can be picked up with one hand. While the atmosphere is comfortable, as if you were visiting a friend's home, the dishes served are pleasing to the eye and palate.
