Enjoy traditional and original cuisine made by the fastidious chef at this stylish Japanese restaurant
Kachofugetsu is tucked away in an alley next to the intersection at Gochome-bashi Bridge, a 20-minute walk from the West Exit of Akita station. Opened in February 2014, the restaurant's relaxed atmosphere and stylish, modern interior feel a world away from the traditional Japanese restaurant. We are committed to our food. Enjoy Japanese cuisine made with proactively sourced domestic ingredients and a focus on local produce. For example, we use an a local brand of pork from Akita called Momo-buta. We highly recommend the Yakiniku Shabu Shabu Set, which lets you sample both shabu shabu (sliced meat parboiled with vegetables) and yakiniku (barbecued meat) with the highest quality marbled beef. We can accommodate any group size from single diners to large parties because we have half private rooms, tables, and counter seating downstairs, and a sizeable tatami-mat room for 25 people upstairs.
