1. Nakameguro Yamaya

The chef at this authentic Japanese Izakaya is very particular about the ingredients that arrive at his kitchen. That probably explains why the seafood dishes here are simply divine. The best part about this place is that even though it is a popular Izakaya in one of the world's most expensive megacities, their lunch meals are priced at JPY 999! Their fish lunch meal comes with a yummy serving of raw tuna. If you are making your way here, we recommend their charcoal-grilled fish! 2. Five Star Cafe

Now you don't have to fly all the way to Singapore for authentic Singapore food. This famous restaurant serves a plate of really good Hainan chicken rice; a serving of succulent steamed chicken with fragrant jasmine rice that was steamed in rich chicken broth. It comes with a selection of condiments that elevates the dish to a whole new level. This Hainan chicken rice dish is sold at JPY 900 and besides that they also have other set lunches available. 3. Tonkatsu Ponta

Don't let its exterior fool you. It may look like any neighborhood Japanese restaurant that serves mediocre set meals but this famous place is known for its juicy pork cutlets that are cooked to perfection at low temperatures. Their pork cutlets here are priced at JPY 2800, which is pretty high but a bite into one of their cutlets and you'll come to agree that this price is actually a steal. Tender and juicy, you'll fall in love with the pork cutlets here.

4. table ogino

For a quick fix of French food, you'll have to rush to this quaint French deli. At lunch their platter is set at JPY 1500 and you get to pick the dishes you want to eat. You can also opt to take out their sandwiches during a fine day and have a picnic in a nearby park.

5. Gohanya Isshin

Isshin puts a lot of care in the dishes that come out from their kitchen. Come to enjoy their yummy food that is served along with rice that is steamed in a claypot. Their lunch set of the day features a yummy pork stew that shouldn't missed but it's a first come first serve thing. So if they run of that pork stew, you might want to come back another day for it! Looking for a Mexican restaurant around the area? Look no more! Haciendo el cielo serves really yummy authentic tacos and fajitas.
