The beach in the main island of Okinawa during off season
Bibi Beach in Itoman, the southern part of the main island, during off season.
Naha Airport is close and the planes fly over the beach.
There is a shopping center near the beach, so it looks very convenient.
And it’s easy to access from the airport.
But you might be caught in a traffic jam, so please be careful.

Ikei Beach in Ikei Island
From Yokatsu Peninsula (or Katsuren Peninsula), take the Mid-Sea Road.
You can go to Henna Island, Miyagi Island, and the next island on the road is Ikei Island.
You’ll see a big sign of “Ikei Beach”.
If you go there off season, just enjoy the quiet, peaceful and relaxing time.
Just lay down on the sand, listen to the sound of the waves.
The sunshine is warm and comfortable.
The beautiful scene of the beach is all yours…
You can enjoy doing Nothing…

Why are his pictures attractive?
His pictures are so attractive, and it’s not only because he’s a good photographer, but it’s also because we can feel his love.
He’s been taking a lot of photos which show the breathtaking beauty of Okinawa, so I will introduce his works sometimes, and I hope it will help you decide where to go when you have a chance to visit Okinawa.
There are just so many must-go places and must-see things there!
Ikei Island is easy to access from the mainland
It’s sometimes not easy to visit small islands in Okinawa. You may not have enough time because you have something to do in the main island or you may just stay in Okinawa for a couple of days.
But Ikei Island is very easy to access since they have the Mid-Sea Road.
The Mid-Sea Road (海中道路) is a road in Uruma, Okinawa. It’s about 5 kilometers, or about 3 miles long, and it consists of a causeway with a bridge and you can pass it and go to Hamahiga Island, Henza Island, Miyagi Island and Ikei Island.
I remember I went to Ikei Island with my family when I was very small and the scene was so beautiful.
Driving on The Mid-Sea Road is very fun, too. If you open the windows while driving, you can feel the fresh sea breeze!
Please visit Ikei Island when you have a chance.
