D&Department Kyoto

D&Department Kyoto is located inside Bukkoji (佛光寺), a historical temple in Kyoto. Come during autumn and you might be able to see the ginko tree in front of the shop turning yellow, super amazing view!

Not only that it is at an interesting location, the cafe also serves good coffee, delicious Japanese light meals and sweets.

Murmur Coffee Kyoto

Murmur Coffee Kyoto is located nearby Shichijo (七条) area, facing Takase River (高瀬川). During spring season when the cherry blossom along the river start blooming, view from inside the cafe will be spectacular!

Other than the great view and comfortable ambiance, Murmur Coffee Kyoto serves good coffee that is roasted in the shop. During winter, I enjoyed their special hot chocolate which contains alcohol and fluffy marshmallow.

Kaikado Cafe

Kaikado is a Japanese tea caddies maker from Kyoto that has more than 140 years history. When you are in Kyoto, don\'t miss out the cafe that the brand opened in 2016. Kaikado Cafe is located in a historical property along Kawaramachi-dori street. The cafe is on the ground floor and there\'s a Japan handcraft products showroom on the second floor.

Cafe Mement Mori

Nearby the entrance of Heian Shrine (平安神宮), there is this cute cafe which is also great for indoor cherry blossom viewing.

At Cafe Mement Mori, you can try "obanzai (おばんざい)" which is traditional style Kyoto cuisines cooked with seasonal ingredients from Kyoto. There are more than five dishes with rice and soup in Cafe Mement Mori\'s "obanzai" set.
