2.Tsukiji Sushisen Asakusa Kaminarimon Branch

Open 24 hours a day! Enjoy natural bluefin tuna any day of the week





Every year Tsukiji Sushisen Asakusa Kaminarimon branch carves up more than 200 bluefin tuna in front of delighted customers.
Parent company the Sakanaya group operates a number of sushi and Japanese-style seafood restaurants that are favorites among connoisseurs. The fish arrive fresh from Tsukiji Fish Market, the tuna are of course natural bluefin, and the rice is grown in low-chemical environments. Because the restaurant purchases whole tuna you can try high quality tuna at surprisingly reasonable prices, such as the “Honjitsu-chu Oroshi Osusume Ju Kan Nigiri" (10 recommended nigiri pieces of the day\'s catch) course at 2,780 yen, and the “Josen Hon Maguro Zukushi Hachi Kan" (8 pieces of special select tuna) at 2,484 yen. The original Uogashi Hinatomaru restaurant is located in Asakusa\'s Shinakamise-dori street.
Amid the lively competition among sushi restaurants in Asakusa, the Uogashi brand distinguishes itself with only the freshest ingredients.
Enjoy kaiten zushi style dining on the first floor, or head upstairs for some serious flavors of the hand-crafted variety. Since the kaiten zushi plates are color coded according to price, you can easily pick and choose dishes to suit your budget.
