The Tsubaki shampoo was developed especially to enrich as much as possible the beauty of Japanese women’s hair. Its catchphrase in 2013 was “Japanese women can become still more beautiful.” It was like a magic phrase.

TSUBAKI is a shampoo from SHISEIDO.

Shiseido Company, Limited (株式会社資生堂 Kabushiki-gaisha Shiseidō) (Japanese pronunciation: [ɕise̞e̞ꜜdo̞̟ː]) is a major Japanese hair care and cosmetics producer. It is one of the oldest cosmetics companies in the world. Founded in 1872, it celebrated its 140th year anniversary in 2012. It is the largest cosmetic firm in Japan and the fourth largest cosmetics company in the world.

The tsubaki (camellia) flower is actually the symbol of the Shiseido brand.

Look at the beautiful women participating in Tsubaki’s advertising campaign!

From the left, Kiko Mizuhara, Yuri Ebihara, Haruna Kojima, and Anne.

“You’re Beautiful!” This positive phrase sounds good!

Kiko Mizuhara

Mizuhara Kiko is a very popular fashion model, in Japan and abroad. She’s featured in many fashion magazines. Actually, her mother is Korean and her father is American. Recently, she has begun to act as well. Her first role as an actres was in “American Wood,” a film adaptation of the novel by Murakami Haruki.

Haruna Kojima

Kojima Haruna is an exception among these four women. The other three are fashion models, but she is a member of popular Japanese idol group AKB48. However, because of her good looks and figure, she’s sometimes hired as a model, such as for Peach John, a lingerie brand.

Yuri Ebihara

Ebihara Yuri is another famous fashion model. She is so attractive that the clothes that she wears in fashion magazines sell out very quickly. She also campaigns for many cosmetic companies as well.

Anne is another famous fashion model and actress. Actually, her father is internationally famous actor, Watanabe Ken. However, she didn’t want to gain popularity from her father’s name, so she used only her first name, “Anne.” She found success as a model without people knowing who her father was. In order to be selected as model for Paris collections, she had to live in France for several months and has learned French.

The phrase for the advertisement is also very catchy! What is written in the photo above is “Japanese women are beautiful.”
