Tokyo Nail Expo 2018

Organized by the JNA (Japan Nailists Association), this is one of the largest nail art events in the world. It showcases the latest nail trends, ideas, and nail products. Many people attend this exhibition to get step-by-step demonstrations and lectures by some of Japan's top nail artists, whose works have been showcased on Instagram and top Japanese magazines.

Here Are Images of Japanese Nail Art Designs

Keep in mind that although many of the nail art designs shown above are elaborate and flowery, Japanese nail stylists also specialize in French manicures. In fact, if you visit the expo, they'll show you exactly how it's done!

2018 Itinerary

Nail Queen 2018 Award Ceremony

Every year, the JNA holds an awards ceremony during the exhibition to celebrate prominent figures that have showcased their love and care for nails and nail art designs. This year marks the 23rd time they'll be doing this, and everyone's curious to see who'll get picked. Previous winners include May J., DAIGO, and Rola.

Tokyo Nails Collection 2019 (Spring/Summer)

Twice a year, the JNA announces the latest nail art trends through a nail art design collection show. This year, they'll be showcasing what ideas they believe will be trendy in the spring and summer of 2019. Their predictions often come true, so if you want to get ahead of everyone else around you, this is one event that you can't miss!

Nail Trade Show

Just like previous years, there will be a nail trade show corner where you can purchase nail-related and beauty-related goods at discounted prices. Some stores offer demonstrations and will even help you try on some of their products! There are also collaboration goodies that you can't find anywhere else.

Free Manicure Corner

Regardless of gender, anyone can get a free nail care and art session at the expo's Free Manicure Corner! If you've never gotten a manicure before, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a try. Even if you have, just watching the nail artisans work is sure to inspire you and help you do better!

And Lots More!

Unlike previous years, the first day of the 2018 exhibition will fall on Nail Art Day (November 11, 2018). Expect a commemorative ceremony, but also watch out for other potential perks that may come that day! There will also be nail art design competitions that will determine who the best nail artisans in the world are, educational lectures on nail care and art, and much more!
