We serve dishes with a Mother's taste using Hida Beef, Owara Clean Pork, and locally-harvested vegetables, with the motto of local production for local consumption. Our Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) feature premium Awao chicken in a variety of cuts, to be enjoyed with our special homemade sauces.

Awaodori chicken is a local brand chicken of Tokushima, which features scrumptious lean meat with a sweet, yet rich flavor. Its succulence gives the meat an excellent texture. The chicken is slow-roasted over a charcoal grill, so the flames have time to bring out the deep umami flavor. Not only do we feature premium Awaodori chicken, but we are careful to use only the finest yakitori sauce, ubame oak charcoal and even the water. The recipe for our special tare sauce has been handed down for over 50 years, using only alkali reduced water for the finest flavor. Not only our dashi sauce made in-house, but even our ketchup and mayonnaise are made with our own special recipes. For over 20 years, we have welcomed guests to our mountaintop home. A restaurant at [Takadai-no-yado] was renovated and reopened as [Nagomidokoro Gassho]. The restaurant's name means the appreciation towards the blessings from nature. We serve seasonal Japanese dishes carefully-created by our chef, and soba (buckwheat noodles) which was added to the menu after the renovation. We stick to using high-quality ingredients, such as seafood from the near seas or directly sent from their production sites, and local vegetables as much as possible. We also have a wonderful view, as we are located on a hill. Enjoy the view of the Tateyama Mountain Range spreading in front, and the cityscape of Toyama. Our restaurant, in the middle of Toyama city, near to Toyama Castle Site Park, offers a relaxing space for adults to enjoy fresh seafood mainly from Toyama Bay and various sake and shochu (Japanese alcohols). Inside the restaurant with black and white color tones has a relaxing atmosphere with Jazz music. In this space where various music lives are sometimes held, you can enjoy alcohol and music at the same time. Our seasonal dishes are all very tasty as they are prepared by a skillful chef who won 3rd place at [Zenkoku Hochonin Taikai (national competition for chefs)]. Our soy sauce, ponzu (citrus seasoned soy sauce), and smoked dishes are his handmade by him. Other than counter seats, a big Japanese room for up to 30 people is also available. [Japanese Cuisine Yamazaki], one of the best Japanese restaurants in the Hokuriku district, is gathering attention by gourmets all through Japan with the motto of [seeking for the dishes that can be found only in Toyama]. Mr. Koji Yamazaki, the owner, decided to be a chef when graduating from junior high school and had training at renowned restaurants in Tokyo and Osaka, then came back to Toyama to open this restaurant. He says "when I was training I always visited renowned restaurants on my days off such as [Sakurada] and [Arashiyama Kitcho] to study their tastes which is a good memory for me now". After spending his days off to visit such renowned restaurants, he noticed that it was important to follow the fundamental factors of Japanese cuisine such as following the basics thoughtfully and cleaning carefully. Therefore, our one and only motto is [to express the seasons of Toyama] with the essence of Japanese cuisine.
