Bonito dishes from Makurazaki that delight locals and visitors alike.
This dish is known throughout Kagoshima as an inexpensive comfort food. Rice is topped with pickled bonito, minced bonito, and high grade bonito flakes. Enjoy the melange of flavors on their own at first, then pour on the high grade bonito dashi (Japanese fish broth) and eat the dish as if it were ochazuke (rice with tea poured on). Makurazaki is known as one of Japan's leading bonito fishing towns. At Ichifuku, you can enjoy a variety of dishes cooked using fresh fish straight from the local harbor. There is sashimi (raw fish slices), tataki (seared bonito), miso-braised bonito, and much more. Ichifuku is a restaurant enjoyed by both locals and tourists. A wide selection of dishes are served to delight all customers. Rooms are available to seat large parties. There is a tatami room on the second floor and a room with tables on the third floor, fitting groups of up to 50 people.

Savor tasty food and shochu (a type of Japanese
alcohol) from Kagoshima at this relaxing and beloved restaurant.
At this izakaya, you can savor a wide variety of shochu together with Kuroge Wagyu (a type of high-quality beef) and Kuro Buta (a type of high-quality pork from Kagoshima) from Kagoshima, as well as fresh seafood from nearby waters. Their specialty [Motsu Nabe] - made with fresh Kuroge Wagyu offal from Kagoshima - has been a popular menu item for over 30 years. The [Kuro Buta Shabu-Shabu] is another unforgettable dish, consisting of high-quality Kuro Buta dipped in a light soup made with shoyu (soy sauce) from Kagoshima and mixed with raw egg before being eaten. They also serve fresh seafood that is unique to Kagoshima, such as silver-stripe round herring. This is a highly recommended restaurant to relax in and enjoy the flavors of Kagoshima.
Our fried chicken features a unique seasoning with carefully applied salt, and is a traditional handed down from our restaurant's days as a street food stall. Eat it with a bit of sesame salt to improve the taste even more. All of our chicken is domestic, and we use fresh meat ground every morning in store for our skewers. Since most of our menu consists of classic items, our vegetable skewers feature seasonal ingredients so that guests can experience the season. Since we have many customers who have been with us for a long time, we cherish our traditional taste, forever unchanging. Many regulars have their fixed seats, and we will welcome and guide them so that they can spend time comfortably in their "usual seats." Our fried chicken has been served the same way for 60 years, and has been loved by young and old people alike. It is delicious at any time, whether for a banquet with friends or for a family dinner.
