They are also well known as [a renowned restaurant for banquets]. Many guests visit to entertain their clients with various local dishes from Hakodate in a relaxing private room with horigotatsu (sunken tables). They stock vegetables, meats, and seafood directly from the producers in this area, with the motto of "local production for local consumption." They also stick to using domestic ingredients and seasonings. You will see why they are popular when trying their specialties, such as [Sashimi of Live Squid]. At Hanzomon, you can forget worrying about prices and enjoy a meal crafted from select ingredients that have been lovingly cooked over charcoal by the chef. The chef's ability to choose the best cuts was naturally developed by growing up around meat. The process of authentically cooking the meat over charcoal developed laboriously through trial and error, brings out the flavor more than simply using a roaster, and the perfect match for this meat is the exceptional shiotare (salty dipping sauce). The chef's exacting preferences can be seen in the [Salted Beef Tongue] wrapped around soft, white onions, and another recommendation is the [Choregi Salad], notable for its rigorously selected ingredients and sesame oil. Susukino is known as a popular sightseeing spot in the Sapporo area. Hokkaido Yakiniku Kaneushi is located about a 3-minute walk from the station. Here you can enjoy carefully selected ingredients such as Shiretoko Beef raised in the wilds of Hokkaido. The restaurant offers a full lineup of finely-marbled "galbi (short rib)" as well as "halami (skirt steak)," "liver," and other hormones (offal meat), all of which are delivered to the restaurant without being frozen. It buys whole cows of Wagyu beef, so it is possible to taste rare parts of the cow such as "long cut tongue." Everything from vegetables and rice to sake and shochu (Japanese liquor) is available from Hokkaido brands. The inside of the restaurant, which covers the two basement floors of the building, has a chic and calm atmosphere. In addition to table seating, zashiki (tatami rooms) and private rooms are available for various occasions.

The most recommended dish is the Wagamama Bowl, for which you can choose 3 or 4 items from 9 popular toppings you like. They serve the freshest ingredients every day, as the owner says, "We are a restaurant in a market and also a seafood shop, so our insistence on fresh and tasty ingredients is only natural". Photos of dishes are posted at the entrance and throughout the restaurant. There is a menu, but diners have fun looking at the pictures and choosing what they want. The dishes are hearty but subtle, in generous portions, and reasonably priced. The bounty of Hokkaido is so great that it almost overflows the bowl, so enjoy it!
