Enjoy a meal in the relaxing atmosphere at [CAFE RESTAURANT Yayoi], specialized in Chirimen-zansho (dried baby sardines with strong Japanese pepper) and Tsukudani (boiled in soy sauce). Restaurant's recommendation is [Ochazuke Zen] (pour green tea or broth on rice).The rice is cooked only after being ordered. Omi rice in Shiga, Kinki district is served with Chirimen-zansho or Tsukudani. We recommend having the first rice bowl without adding anything, and the second bowl Ochazuke style, or have it soaked in our special soup. Other enjoyments include Chirimen-Jako (dried and seasoned baby sardines). Ahead of the stone-paved corridor, there are 4 Japanese-style 2-seat tables made of wood, most suitable for couples. Our table seats are arranged with enough space in between to accommodate tourists with large luggage.

Shrimp and sakura (cherry blossom) shrimp caught by trawling in the Suruga Bay are deep-fried with scallops and onions. We couldn't offer this dish without custom equipment and a chef with many years' experience. Enjoy with specially made tempura dipping sauce. The tuna is hand-picked by the restaurant director and delivered by charter flight. It arrives at the restaurant early morning and is processed in-house. On weekdays 3 to 4 tunas are flown in; on weekends up to 6 to 8 . Enjoy cuisine that uses all parts of the tuna. To provide an agreeable dining experience, restaurant waiting staff provide cheerful and courteous service. An open kitchen is in place, enabling management to give the utmost attention to patrons and restaurant conditions whilst food is being prepared. Workers and tourists alike visit our restaurant to enjoy the best fish dishes in a relaxing atmosphere. We use a large Kurumaebi (Japanese tiger prawn) - a live shrimp, close to 15 cm in length. There is an obvious difference between frozen shrimp and live shrimp. Because we fry a whole shrimp, you can even enjoy the internal organs in the shrimp head. The quality of the fish we fry are the same as the ones used in famous sushi restaurants. We choose ingredients that are soft and thick. We serve super-fresh fried food over the open kitchen. Other than the workers at Tsukiji, tourists will also be satisfied with our service. There are long counters and 12 simple stools in our restaurant. This style hasn't changed for a long time. You can enjoy our dishes, with the traditional feel of the Tsukiji fish market.

We have been working hard making gyoza up until now, from the ingredients of the gyoza wrappers and the recipe, to the frying method and even the sauce used. We are very passionate about our prized dish. If the gyoza wrapper is poorly made, no matter how good the red bean jam (anko) inside is, then the whole dish is ruined. The dough is made with just water and flour with no additives. We wrap and fry these gyoza in our signature wrappers after we take the order. Even though making gyoza is an easy process, since we always want to see the smiling faces of our customers, we try our best every day to make delicious gyoza.

After getting special cookware and doing a lot of research, we produced a 15cm-tall mixed vegetable and seafood tempura. This food is only capable of being made with all the necessary calculations with the chef's intuition, honed after many years. Every day, early in the morning, seafood selected by the boss is delivered from the Port of Numazu that is just seconds away. On busy days, 150 to 200 kilograms of seafood are obtained. The selection shows up on the lunch menu, so check out what there is and try what suits your taste! We want our customers to go home full and satisfied. As we have an open kitchen, we're able to pay special attention to all of our customers as we prepare their food. Yakitori Tori Ryori Toritatsu

A lovely retro-style yakitori (grilled chicken) restaurant in the heart of Tokyo

We carefully prepare domestic hog maw, first boiling it, and then, after removing excess fat, slicing it into bite-size pieces. We then pile on green onions drizzled with sesame oil, add garlic and ginger, and serve. Please feel free to add soy sauce as needed. As for the poultry we use, it is either Hyugadori or locally raised chicken, exclusively. Both are milder, lower fat, lower in cholesterol, and sweeter than regular chicken. Our restaurant opened 30 years ago and is well-loved by the male and female office workers of Shinjuku. The interior has a sort of nostalgic retro feel, but we meticulously clean the floors and tables so as to provide you with the best possible service. A three-minute walk from Shinjuku Station. Yakitori Toriryori Toritatsu is a lovely retro-style yakitori restaurant. The counter seats 7 and is perfect for customers dining alone. Please drop by!
