Yushiyaki no Tatsumi is located in the center of the Funai Goban district in the heart of Oita. Just like its calming exterior amidst a bustling downtown suggests, a soothing mood hangs in the air when you step into the restaurant. We warmly welcome all guests, whether stopping in for a drink after work, or celebrating a special occasion. We serve small plates of creative skewer dishes that build upon traditional Japanese cooking techniques, with uncompromising standards for both ingredients and seasoning. Our signature chicken skin skewers are marinated for three days, with all excess fat removed, and combine a crispy bite with a juicy mouthfeel. To make sure we please our local customers, we use fine quality soy sauce and eggs locally sourced in Oita. So many authentic flavors are offered, including basashi (horse meat) directly delivered from Kumamoto, served with soy sauce also made in Kumamoto.

Ariran Beppu

Using dried skipjack tuna and kelp, we take pains in making our broth so that as soon as you taste it, the delicate Japanese flavor wafts through, more so even than spiciness or tang. Enjoy it with our original noodles, made with buckwheat flour and certain to compete well with the broth. Our meat is from cows that are raised in a broad, open environment and given carefully-selected feed. They're raised naturally without stress. We season our meat simply so that you can savor its original springy texture and the sweetness of its fat. When preparing meat, we slice our cuts one by one after receiving your order. As essential as it is in preserving the meat's juicy freshness, we work to make you not wait, keeping in mind the allure of delicious food at the final moments of serving. In any case, we want you to dine here without strain. Kochu no Tenchi

Kochu no Tenchi is located in the Funai Goban district in the heart of Oita. The three-story restaurant offers Western-style seating for parties of 4~8 on the 1st floor and private and semi-private rooms on the 2nd floor, perfect for parties of 6~10. The 3rd floor is home to a Western room with tatami mats for up to 10 guests, as well as a large banquet hall that can accommodate up to 54 guests. The menu is varied, offering a range from affordable appetizers to high class plates. Focusing on use of local ingredients, the menu is designed to please men and women of all ages. The drink selection is also plentiful. In addition to Japanese sake and shochu (liquor), we also have a wine list thoughtfully arranged by a sommelier. This is a great space for everyday gatherings with family or friends, but it is also perfect for just about any event.

Yufuin Sansyorou

Locally grown and harvested on the same day, the vegetables take center stage here at this restaurant. Each vegetable variety is carefully researched and prepared simply as to bring out the best flavor of the ingredient, from cutting, boiling, steaming, seasoning, and so on. They make sure that they don't just prepare the food and serve but also endeavor to connect with their customers and build a relationship with them. It is this sentiment, and the delicious food, that earned them recognition in 2018 from a world-renowned gourmet guide. The beautiful lunch box [Awasebako (Umi, Yama)] depicts the 4 seasons of Yufuin and is absolutely a must-have item! You can feel all of Yufuin in this dish, from the grandness of nature to the feelings and efforts of the farmers here. Dinner is especially recommended if you want to really savor each and every vegetable, but both lunch and dinner are great options for travelers!

Shikitei Hanamura is located in a quiet residential area 7 minutes from Beppu Station. Customers can enjoy beautifully presented and well-considered courses with seasonal ingredients from Oita at this original Kaiseki cuisine restaurant. All seats are in private rooms that accommodate 2 to 26 customers. A Western-style room has a beautiful garden view, and Japanese-style rooms can be used with chairs and tables. Because the restaurant is reservation only, customers of all kinds, such as couples, friends, families, and groups, can relax and enjoy themselves without worrying about the time. Please reserve up to 3 days in advance. They have a wide lineup of alcoholic beverage that goes well with Kaiseki cuisines, such as local Oita sake, shochu (Japanese alcohol), beer, wine, whisky, and cocktails. We offer quality Imari beef at reasonable rates, using only selected A4 or A5 rank beef.

Yakiniku Kobo Shinki Oita Miyako-machi branch mainly offer Imari beef as well as Kuroge wagyu beef from Kyushu for menu of the day. Using only A4 or A5 rank beef. Recommended menu are bone-less short rib, chuck roll served with sukiyaki-style sauce. We also have rare thick tongue meat in which only 2 pieces are available from a cattle. Pre-fixed menu is recommended for parties. Sparkling wines are favored among woman customers. Modern Japanese private room for up to 24 people is also popular, added by our hospitality. The settings are offered for date, small parties and gatherings as well as dining out among families.
