Stick to using natural ingredients from Gifu, a restaurant [Yanagiya] is said to be a holy ground of gourmet local cuisine in Mizunami, Gifu. Our restaurant, [Oryori Yanagiya Nishiki] is their sister restaurant in Nishiki in the center part of Nagoya, using the same ingredients as Yanagiya. You can fully enjoy the finest ingredients from the land in Japan, such as the wild game in fall and winter, fish and eel in summer, and Matsutake mushrooms in fall. Like our main branch, we serve [Course of the Day] of 12 to 15 dishes. [Suppon (soft-shell turtle) Course ] available in summer and fall is our original at [Yanagiya Nishiki]. We have relocated in June 2016 to a more relaxing space. We accept groups of 2 or more guests. We are popular as you can fully enjoy the exquisite dishes in an casual atmosphere and space which is ideal for business meetings or parties with friends.

Fujiwara is committed to using the freshest ingredients and serves up traditional Japanese home cooking, brimming with seasonal goodness. The dishes draw on the chef's many years of experience working at a major restaurant in Osaka and his skill as a craftsman. The menu is full of masterpieces to please the eye, as well as the tongue, with breathtakingly exquisite presentation. The restaurant serves a selection of over 100 different dishes, which is born out of the chef's desire to delight his customers. Diners are greeted with a menu of gems; all of them equally delicious. It includes the Sashimi Platter, which contains six or seven kinds of local fish and specially selected seafood from all over Japan, and the Two-Color Grilled Eel, which is fresh eel cooked to fluffy perfection. Six types of sake (Japanese alcohol) are available to pair with various dishes. The simple interior, which uses plenty of plain wood, brings out the beauty of the Japanese cuisine all the more.

Exquisite French cuisine in a restaurant with formal dining rooms and a chic cafe lounge.

We make this dish with konbu dashi (seaweed broth) in order to draw out the flavor of the ingredients. The accompanying vegetables are seasonal and organic. The lightly whipped tomato foam heightens the sweetness of the vegetables. We are fastidious about our vegetables, so we use only organic vegetables that we grow in our own fields, or which we have shipped directly to us from local producers. Since we ourselves love vegetables, whether heated up or eaten raw, we harvest as many as we can, with the aim of preparing food that is kind to your body. Many guests are surprised when they try our beignet de foie gras, since they don't know what is on the inside until they take a bite. Our aim is to create dishes that surprise and delight you.

In our original dish, you'll get to savor thick slices of chunky fugu (blowfish) sashimi. With slices three to four times thicker than our thinly-sliced sashimi, this highly addictive dish, served with a homemade spicy ponzu (soy sauce and citrus juice) sauce, allows you to fully enjoy its amazingly chewy texture. It's a dish all fugu lovers should try at least once. We use only the best domestically produced Tiger Blowfish, mainly from the Kumamoto and Nagasaki area. Live fish are picked straight from the restaurant's tank upon order, offering our customers unbeatable freshness. We do not use vinegar in our homemade ponzu sauce, but only the juice of citrus fruits such as sudachi and yuzu to reach the desired acidity level. With seafood that would be okay to eat as sashimi, local vegetables and more, about 30 varieties of kushiage (fried skewers) made using fresh ingredients are available on the daily specials menu. With delicious raw ingredients undergoing careful preparation to make even more delicious kushiage and toppings, each one is uniquely spectacular. In addition to the ingredients obviously being fresh, we're also particular about the breading. The oil used is a house blend, and the fine panko breadcrumbs have to be light and crispy, so you can eat plenty without it weighing down your stomach. We don't just line up all the skewers on a plate at once. We set them on the counter one at a time at the pace that the customer eats, so you always enjoy delicious kushiage that's just been fried. With a spacious counter, this is a comfortable, relaxed restaurant. The calm atmosphere makes it a refuge for adults. We can handle dates, business meals and other various situations.

Paella is a famous Spanish dish. Authentic paella uses saffron, so it is not actually very yellow. Savor the taste of genuine Spanish paella with our exquisite seasonings. We only use spices and olive oil from Spain in our dishes, but we stock fresh vegetables from Gifu. During the summer we highly recommend our "Gazpacho." A dish from the Andalusia region of Spain, it's a chilled vegetable soup with a tomato base. We try to create a comfortable atmosphere in our cozy establishment. Communication with our customers is most important to us. This is why we try to talk with our customers and develop relationships. Earthenware and decorative plates regularly bought from Catalonia are decorated in the shop to create a Spanish atmosphere. Please appreciate the paintings on the outside of the shop too.
