Roasted Local Vegetables Dressed with Vinaigrette

The farmers of Fujieda love food. This dish is made using their fresh locally produced vegetables, simply seasoned to bring out the natural flavors of each ingredient. A sauce made with white wine vinegar adds a sour note to the dish. This cheese, which comes from the Tokachi dairy region, is made using grazing cow’s milk. It is rich and soft, with a simple flavor. We prepare this dish before your eyes, using a raclette warmer. Our staff strive to anticipate your every need, and to time the moment when we refill your wine glass or remove your plate perfectly. We purposely chose names for our dishes, such as Normandy-style pork giblets marinated in white wine, that instinctively encourage people to ask: “What is that?” This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other better.

Declicious smoked mackerell in a French atmosphere

Using fresh mackerel harvested from the Bay of Numazu, the meat is smoked to a soft, rich texture uncommon for smoked meat. As an appetizer, we serve "Organic Vegetable Salad" that anyone can eat. The organic vegetables are carefully selected and harvested from Fujinomiya and Nirayama in the owner's Shizuoka Prefecture. From the potatoes, purple violets, and white carrots, the color is brilliant and fresh, and the taste is deep. This is one of our novel dishes. Barrel-aged craft beer from across Japan, wines of the world, and home cooking, we serve food and drink that is not only delicious but is even more delightful if you know where it came from. The owner is a sommelier, and he is able to carefully explain the finer points of available wines. With high-quality beer and wine in a soothing, soft and chic atmosphere based on French pubs, this bar is excellent for customers who come to dine alone, having parties with friends, and lively people who like to enjoy themselves.

Our soups and sauces are our specialities, and we derive optimum satisfaction from using them to bring out the best in our ingredients. Our red wine sauce is a must-try item, especially when coupled with our simmered beef tongue. We use only local ingredients from Shizuoka, including organic vegetables and Ashitaka beef. We harvest our vegetables from Fujinomiya and Nirayama, which means they arrive fresh every day at our restaurant. At Aiai, we also have two in-house sommeliers, so you definitely want to linger on to experience the seamless pairing of our wines and Chef Tachikawa's cuisine in our restaurant's relaxed ambience.

Although this dish requires time and effort to prepare, it is reasonably priced, and the combination of red wine and soy sauce make the spare ribs even more delicious. Of course, this dish goes well with red wine, but it is also good with beer. In "Meguro's signature dish, carpaccio of medium fatty tuna," two different sauces interweave to create a pleasing harmony. Chef Takeuchi is also proud of his whole chickens, painstakingly deboned and cut into bite-sized pieces. This careful work is the mark of a true professional. Chef Takeuchi is famous for enjoying his work, as well as for ensuring that his customers enjoy themselves. Enjoy our freshly-caught, local seafood in front of an open kitchen

After getting special cookware and doing a lot of research, we produced a 15cm-tall mixed vegetable and seafood tempura. This food is only capable of being made with all the necessary calculations with the chef's intuition, honed after many years. Every day, early in the morning, seafood selected by the boss is delivered from the Port of Numazu that is just seconds away. On busy days, 150 to 200 kilograms of seafood are obtained. The selection shows up on the lunch menu, so check out what there is and try what suits your taste! We want our customers to go home full and satisfied. As we have an open kitchen, we're able to pay special attention to all of our customers as we prepare their food. Shrimp and sakura (cherry blossom) shrimp caught by trawling in the Suruga Bay are deep-fried with scallops and onions. We couldn't offer this dish without custom equipment and a chef with many years' experience. Enjoy with specially made tempura dipping sauce. The tuna is hand-picked by the restaurant director and delivered by charter flight. It arrives at the restaurant early morning and is processed in-house. On weekdays 3 to 4 tunas are flown in; on weekends up to 6 to 8 . Enjoy cuisine that uses all parts of the tuna. Tempura fried in oil freshly pressed from sesame seeds. Soba handmade from homemade whole buckwheat flour. It is a dish we are proud to make from satisfying ingredients. Please give it a try! We fetch our vegetables and other local, seasonal ingredients ourselves. We offer a variety of flavorful dishes such as those that let you enjoy a sense of the season and some that let you savor the ingredients themselves. We endeavor to welcome our visitors with a smile.
