Miso-soup is indispensable in Japanese meals. The day doesn’t start for Japanese without eating miso-soup for breakfast.There are many types of miso and also many kinds of ingredients. Furthermore, there are differences between each family. The standard ingredients are tofu, seaweed, and mushrooms or clams. I’ll give you a tip: use lots of leeks to make it extra delicious.

Kara-age is very popular food among all generations! It is also popular as a sidedish in lunch boxes. It is often flavored with soy sauce and tastes a bit different from fried chicken in foreign countries. It goes especially well with rice.

Ginger pork is especially popular among young men. It is easy to make and surely will please many people! Just looking at the picture makes me hungry. Excuse me now while I go cook some ginger pork!
