The New Otani Pools

Hotel New Otani's 3 directly-managed hotels in Tokyo, Makuhari, and Osaka will be opening their outdoor pools to the public from Saturday, July 14, 2018.

The Kanto region had a troubled year of prolonged rain in the summer of 2017, which was a phenomenon unseen for the last 40 years. After the Japan Meteorological Agency announced earlier that 2018's summer will see higher temperatures than normal nationwide, there are heightened expectations that this summer will be a perfect period for all sorts of outdoor leisure activities.

A premium resort-like atmosphere in Tokyo, a spacious and open feel like that of a southern island in Makuhari, and the epitome of urban stylishness in Osaka - each with its own unique charm, these hotels allow you to experience the feeling of being in a pool resort without the need to leave the heart of the city. It's fine if you can't take a vacation from work, and you don't even have to endure long-haul flights or traffic jams. A paradise awaits you within easy reach. A place you can visit on a whim during the weekend or after work, they are mid-summer sanctuaries that you can go to as many times as you wish. This summer, take a breather and have a great vacation at these 3 hotels in Tokyo, Makuhari, and Osaka!

Don't forget to check out the poolside dining place, Outrigger, where you can savor delicious offerings from the menu of the well-known restaurant, Trader Vic's Tokyo, which is also located within the hotel.
