Sanrio has teamed up with a popular rickshaw tour company, Kurumaya, to present the Hello Kitty Rickshaw Asakusa Tour. Participants can tour Asakusa's amazing sightseeing spots while riding in a special Hello Kitty themed carriage.

Asakusa is known for its rickshaw tours, and it's a great way to see the many sights here. Your rickshaw driver will act as your tour guide to the area, and will even take your picture for you! 

Hello Kitty Rickshaw Asakusa Tours will be held on June 15th, 16th, 22nd, and 23rd, and bookings are open from June 8th, 2019.

Sanrio Gift Gate Asakusa

Even if you can't make it to the rickshaw event, the new Sanrio Gift Gate Asakusa store is a must-visit. With an impressive, 7m high Hello Kitty facade, it's easy to spot!

Sanrio Gift Gate Asakusa has two floors of adorable Sanrio merchandise, including favorites like Hello Kitty, Gudetama, and Cinnamoroll.

The first floor is designed with a magical apple orchid motif that matches the theme of its exterior. The second floor is designed in a unique Japanese festival theme. If you miss out on participating in the tour, you can also take a photo with the Hello Kitty rickshaw at the photo spot inside the store!

Sanrio Gift Gate Asakusa carries a range of exclusive goods including apple themed Hello Kitty soft toys, keychains, and more. You can only buy these here, so they're great for souvenirs! This store also carries the Hello Kitty Precious line, which is a range of quality accessories like handbags and small leather goods.
