I am a huge fan of video games. I always have been. I think that some of my first experiences with Japan and Japanese culture came from my obsession with NES and SNES. The way that things work with me is shelter>games>food>clothes (I feel like a grown-up because I put the shelter part into consideration first before purchasing any games).
However! Console gaming doesn’t need to be done at home anymore…Not when you live in Japan.
Here are a few places where you can totally toss a few beers back while playing Duck Hunt with your friends:
SPACE STATION （Osaka）
●Access：3 minutes from Shinsaibashi Station
3 minutes from Yotsubashi Station
●Features：It has a nice atmosphere and there are even games from other countries! The owner is not Japanese, so the place is popular with tourists and expats. This place is ranked #2 on Tripadvisor for Osaka city sights.
Game Bar Ninety （Shinjuku）
●Access：30 secs from Toei Shinjuku Line Akebonobashi Station
●Features：This cafe/bar is based on subculture in the 80s and 90s.
It is free to look around the things that they have on display.
