Comfortable and budget-friendly! 10 Recommended Business Hotels in the Umeda Area

Recently, the area around Umeda has become a very popular sightseeing spot thanks to the opening of facilities like large department stores and the big shopping complex Grand Front Osaka. Umeda keeps developing with different restaurants and shopping zones, but there are still reasonably priced business hotels that will offer you a satisfying stay.

1. Hotel Binario Umeda

This hotel is about a 10 minute walk from JR Osaka Station and is also close to the bus stop area Plaza Motor Pool, so it's in a very convenient location. There are 13 types of rooms available, from the value single room with 10.8 square meters to the premium twin at 35 square meters. There is also a ladies' floor, so single women can stay without worry.

The value room is a little small at only 10.8 square meters, but it's clean and suitable.

The breakfast is very popular! The reason it's popular is because it's a Japanese and Western buffet with 30 items on offer from the restaurant Risen.

2. E Hotel Osaka Umeda

This hotel is just 10 minutes from Osaka Station and within walking distance of Umeda and Kitashinchi! Nearby is the power spot Tsuyunoten Shrine, famous for bring success in romance, and many izakaya bars, so it's a business hotel recommended for either sightseeing or just staying over after a night out. There are many coin parking lots in the area, so it's great for if you have a car. There are very few hotels where you can stay for this price within walking distance of Osaka Station.

While the buffet isn't very large, it is delicious.

3. Hotel Kinki

This popular business hotel was chosen to win the Travelers' Choice Award 2016. It was entirely renovated in 2009 into a designers' hotel. Each room has free high-speed Wi-Fi and LED TVs. It's in a very convenient area, in a business area with plenty of drinking holes and just 10 minutes from the station.

4. Hearton Hotel Nishi-Umeda

This hotel is near Osaka Station and the limousine bus to Kansai International Airport stop, so it's easy to access. They offer a business corner and small business rooms, so it's great for business people on work trips. However, this hotel is not just for business people. Within walking distance is the Hilton Plaza and West Herbis Plaza, filled with top brands. Grand Front Osaka, a huge commercial center opened in April 2013, is also within walking distance. It's a popular hotel for both business and sightseeing.

The breakfast is a Western and Japanese buffet with many options. The freshly baked bread, especially croissants, are popular with women.

5. Osaka Shin-Hankyu Hotel

This hotel is connected to Osaka Station and Hankyu Umeda Station, so it's easy to reach. You can take the airport bus headed to Kansai International Airport or to Osaka International Airport from in front of the hotel, so it's also very convenient for overseas travelers. Inside the hotel building is the largest hotel buffet in Kansai, Olympia, as well as 20 different restaurants.

This year they held a seasonal beer garden on the roof from May to September, and it may be brought back again next year! It featured all-you-can-drink-and-eat with no time limit!

6. Dojimagawa Onsen Tenjin no Yu Dormy Inn Umeda-Higashi

This is a popular hotel that won the 2015 Jalan Award for chain hotels guests were happy they stayed in. There is a natural hot spring public bath on the top floor, a buffet breakfast, late-night ramen, and other free services available that you can't find in other hotels. In the bathroom, the amenities included aren't just shampoo and conditioner but also moisturizer, serum, cotton pads, hair ties, and more, so it's great for women. There's also free coffee and a free shuttle to Osaka Station. It's about 5 minutes away from Minami-Morimachi Station, one station away from JR Osaka Station and Higashi-Umeda Station.

7. Hotel New Matsugae

This hotel can be called the business hotel that offers the high quality of Japanese hospitality. It's a hotel that seems a little old, but the owner and staff offer polite hospitality and beautiful Japanese morning meals that attract many regulars. The bath on the roof is open until 1 AM, so it's great for relaxing. Near the hotel are restaurants, cafeterias, and supermarkets in a traditional, working-class atmosphere. It's 2 minutes away from JR Noda Station, just two stations away from Osaka and Umeda Stations. It's 7 minutes away from Universal Studios Japan, 7 minutes away from Namba, and 10 minutes away from the Kaiyukan Aquarium.

This business hotel is directly connected to Higobashi Station, and is about a 15 minute walk from JR Osaka Station. A standard room is kind of small at 10 square meters, but it's made so you can spend a comfortable time there. It's close to city hall, so it's also great for business. You can have breakfast at the Seattle's Best Coffee on the 1st floor, at La Veranda offering a Western-Japanese buffet on the 2nd floor, or Chao Saigon on the 30th floor for a Vietnamese buffet. There are also buffets available for lunch and dinner, so it's a gourmet hotel where you can also enjoy meals.

You can enjoy genuine Vietnamese food while gazing out at the night view from Chao Saigon on the 30th floor. 

9. Hotel Unizo Osaka Yodoyabashi

This is a business hotel that has fantastic services for women. Each room has a Simmons bed, a minus ion hair dryer, air purifier, toilet with washlet, and other equipment for cleanliness. On the first basement floor, there's a Thai massage parlor called Bankunmei, a beauty space on the 2nd floor called El Zafiro Yodoyabashi and a shiatsu training studio called Le Citron. You can also rent a meeting space for 20 people. It's just a minute away from Yodoyabashi Station, one stop away from Umeda Station.

The breakfast buffet is a Japanese buffet made with carefully selected ingredients and seasonings.

This is a lodging and training facility for business people! There are various seminar rooms available, from offices for 4 people to 96 people. But it's not just for business people. Recently, it's become popular among young women. The buffet breakfast has around 50 types of Japanese and Western dishes available for breakfast. The rooms are wide and clean, and all of them have ion hair dryers, bathtubs, Simmons beds, humidifiers, air purifiers, and in the deluxe rooms there's even a massage chair. Japan's longest shopping street, Tenjinbashi-suji, is within walking distance, so it's also great for sightseeing. It's just 15 minutes from Umeda Station and 5 minutes from Ogimachi Station.
