A Tokyo-based my American friend is selling some unique goods from a dollar shop at eBay and bits them several fold higher than their original prices. It's a good deal, isn't it ? You might hear that a Japanese dollar shop such as Daiso is a treasure trove not only for Japanese but also foreign travelers, who are looking for something interesting for souvenirs. And yes, it's not so uncommon to see foreigners there.

I'm not just talking about Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka and so on. Even in a rural area like here in Nagano prefecture where I live in, a dollar shop's customers are diverse. The young and the old. Men and women. White skin, black skin and yellow skin. Various spoken languages fill the shop. As if an international airport, a crowd is so colorful. To be honest, when I was there , I saw foreigners in every aisle !

What items caught foreigner's eyes at a dollar shop? Here's one of them. Chair Socks ! It can reduce damage and noise caused by friction between a chair and a floor. Also, it's a good shock absorber when you use a wooden chair on Tatami mat.

Daiso's chair socks

They look like cute bobby socks, but they go to chairs.

As if chairs are personified, they fit well !

Here's chic black and white chair socks. They remind me of fluffy cat's paws.

Seria's chair socks

On the other hand, another dollar shop giant Seria has animal socks.

They warm up the atmosphere of your room.

There are not only animated socks but also calm color socks, too.
