The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (時をかける少女)


A teenage girl finds that she has the ability to leap through time. With her newfound power, she tries to use it to her advantage, but soon finds that tampering with time can lead to some rather discomforting results.

5 Centimeters per Second (秒速5センチメートル)


A tale of two people, Tono Takaki and Shinohara Akari, who were close friends but gradually grow farther and farther apart as time moves on. They become separated because of their families yet continue to exchange contact in the form of letters. Yet as time continues to trudge on, their contact with one another begins to cease.

Summer Wars (サマーウォーズ)


The film tells the story of Kenji Koiso, a timid eleventh-grade math genius who is taken to Ueda by twelfth-grade student Natsuki Shinohara to celebrate her great-grandmother’s 90th birthday. However, he is falsely implicated in the hacking of a virtual world by a sadistic artificial intelligence named Love Machine. Kenji must repair the damage done to it and find a way to stop the rogue computer program from causing any further damage.

Wolf Children Ame and Yuki (おおかみこどもの雨と雪)


Hana is a 19-year-old student who falls in a “fairy-tale like” love with a “wolf man”. Over the course of the 13-year story Hana gives birth to two children—older sister Yuki, and younger brother Ame, or “Snow and Rain”. At first the family quietly lives in city trying to hide their wolf heritage, but when the “wolf man” suddenly dies Hana makes the decision to move to a rural town, far from their previous city life.

Tekkonkinkreet (鉄コン筋クリート)


In Treasure Town, life can be both peaceful and violent. This is never truer than for our heroes, Black and White – two street kids who claim to traverse the urban city as if it were their own. But in this town, an undercurrent of evil exists and has its sights set on the pair of brothers, forcing them to engage in battle with an array of old-world Yakuza as well as dangerous assassins vying to rule the decaying metropolis, Treasure Town.

Paprika (パプリカ)


Atsuko is a psychiatrist who uses advanced technology to study the human mind. Atsuko has developed a machine that will allow her to enter the dreams of her patients and study their psyches from the inside. Atsuko also does double duty as Paprika, a high-tech detective who uses this new innovation to find out the truth about what the people she’s trailing really think.

Metropolis (メトロポリス)


Metropolis is a futuristic city where humans and robots coexist. Robots are discriminated against, and segregated to the city’s lower levels. A lot of Metropolis human population is unemployed and deprived; many people blame the robots for taking their jobs.
