1. Saryo Tsujiri Daimaru Tokyo

This quaint matcha shop that originally started in Gion, Kyoto is at Tokyo Station. If you don't have time to visit the original shop, Tsujiri in Kyoto, fear not now! This one in Tokyo serves the same Japanese matcha parfait desserts. Their parfait is priced around JPY 1400 and it is topped with ice-cream that is made from high-quality Uji matcha. Dig your dessert spoon in and you'll have a party in your mouth. Their dessert menu also offers yummy matcha mousse and Japanese anmitsu (a sweet jelly dessert). Take a seat by the window and enjoy the views of Tokyo station and its surrounding with yummy matcha desserts here.

2. Kinozen *Closed

For a selection of authentic and traditional Japanese sweets like anmitsu that showcases jelly cubes decked with dry fruits or a bowl of piping hot sweet red bean soup, this is the place to go. They also have this wonderful green tea mousse called 'Matcha Babaroa' that is served with a dollop of whipped creamed and red bean paste. Their Matcha Babaroa is popular and priced at JPY 900. The menu slightly changes depending on the season and you can also opt for take out if the shop is already full with patrons.  

3. Chachanoma

This shop does not take their matcha lightly. Their staff have trained well in the world of matcha and care is poured into every thing that comes out from their kitchen. Their matcha ice-cream parfait is a must-have with a cup of Japanese tea, and it is only sold at JPY 1500. They are also very well known for their matcha chocolate which will melt in your mouth. If you haven't had your lunch yet, you could order one of their healthy set lunches and just add an extra JPY 300 to have a taste at their yummy Japanese desserts.

4. nana's green tea *Closed

Italy has its espresso and here matcha is considered as Japan's espresso. At this cafe that is all about matcha, you'll have a wide variety of drinks and desserts to choose from like matcha latte (JPY 430), Matcha Shiratama Parfait (JPY 790) and many more. Their prices are unbeatable for the quality that you can get. After a busy day of sightseeing in Tokyo, come here to relax with their yummy creations in their cozy environment. 5. Marunouchi Cafe KAI

Tully's, a famous cafe and Itoen, Japan's household brand for green tea collaborated to create this beautiful matcha cafe. They have this really good Uji matcha tiramisu that they make in their kitchen. It's sold at JPY 620 per serving. The mascarpone cheese melts in your mouth while leaving a strong rich matcha taste behind. It is what everyone here craves for when they are in the neighborhood.

6. Cha no Ikedaya

This store started all the way back in 1945! It is very near Shinjuku station and you'll get to taste the best matcha here through their rich soft serve sold at JYP 250 per serving. There are no seats available though but that shouldn't hinder you from ordering their soft serve and having it while walking around Shinjuku! Besides soft serves, they also offer matcha floats!

7. Kyo Hayashiya

It's amazing how we no longer have to go to Kyoto to try authentic matcha desserts with cafes like this. This cafe is actually a branch from one of Kyoto's oldest matcha shops. Their menu offers a wide variety of matcha-licious desserts from parfaits, traditional anmitsu to baked sweets that will make you want to order every single thing! You can get their matcha cheese cake to go and share it with your family and friends back home too. Most of their items are sold around JPY 1000.
