41. Nakanoshima Park [Sightseeing]

An oasis located in the Osaka business district. Nakanoshima Park is a waterside park  located between the Dojima River and the Dosabori River. The park has rose gardens and is beautifully illuminated at night. Nearby, you can find lots of fashionable cafes and restaurants, and despite being a business district, you can enjoy a relaxing time there.

42. Yamamoto Noh Theatre [Arts]

The oldest Noh performance stage in Osaka. Noh is one of the traditional performance arts in Japan, centered on dance and music. English, Chinese and Korean materials explaining Noh performances are available, making it easier to understand and enjoy the performance. If you want to see Japanese-style opera, this is the place to go.

44. Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum [Activity]

Ikeda City is famous as the birthplace of instant ramen. Momofuku Ando, the founder of Nissin, created the world’s first instant ramen, known as “Chicken Ramen,” in his workshop in the garden of his home in 1958. In the museum, you can learn about the history of instant ramen and the story behind its creation, as well as try making your own instant ramen with soup and your own toppings.

45. Waterfall of Mino [Sightseeing]

One of Japan’s top 100 waterfalls, located in the Meiji no Mori Mino Quasi-National Park. The park is famous for its beautiful koyo, or autumn colors, and is visited by many people in the koyo season. It is located in the suburbs a little way from the center of the city, and the natural beauty of the park is a great contrast to the bustle of the city.

Located in the north of Osaka, in the center of the Mino Quasi-National Park. Since over 1,300 years ago, the temple has been known as the temple of luck and the temple of the dharma of victory, and as you expect, there are dharma everywhere. This is the one remaining natural area in Osaka Prefecture, and is a great place to enjoy the splendor of nature.

48. The Expo Commemoration Park [Sightseeing]

A park established in the venue of the 1972 Japan Expo. The “Taiyo no To (Tower of the Sun)” is the symbol of the park. At this nature cultural park, you can enjoy all sorts of flowers all year round. The park also has a Japanese garden, and has been selected as one of the 100 cherry blossom spots in Japan.

49. The Suntory Yamazaki Distillery [Activity]

Suntory was the first company to make whiskey in Japan. During the tour of the distillery, you can learn about the equipment in the facility and sample the Yamasaki single malt whiskey. Other events where you can sample different whiskeys are also held there (for some events, you will need to pay to participate), so we highly recommend this place to whiskey drinkers.

This is the mega store of Daiso, the 100 yen shop chain with stores all over Japan. The product selection is astounding! With their high quality and refined design, it’s hard to believe that they are all 100 yen! Ideal as “Made in Japan” presents for the people back at home!
