3.【Iwate】Chūson-ji Konjiki-dō 中尊寺金色堂
The so-called Golden Hall of Chuson-ji is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was built in 1124, depicting the Land of Happiness in Buddhism. It is so meticulous you wouldn’t think it was built almost 1000 years ago. Definitely worth paying a visit.

In early summer approximately 4.5 million nemophila plants are in full bloom with pretty blue flowers, which is also very stunning.

9. 【Tochigi】Nikko Toshogu 日光東照宮
Nikko Toshogu is the burial place of Ieyasu Tokugawa, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate (the Edo Era). Here you can spectate traditional Yabusame, a traditional form of archery with an archer on the back of a running horse shoots three arrows to three respective targets.
