There is a food floor called "Depachika" on the basement floor of Japanese department stores. They offer a variety of takeout food which is more luxurious than usual food, so it is recommended for your lunch, instead of bento. In particular, you can "try" them, so you can purchase after eating a small bit. Of course it is OK even though you don't purchase.
